Davis Pride is Yolo County’s largest and oldest annual LGBTQ+ advocacy event, uniting thousands to celebrate, support, and foster belonging in the LGBTQ+ community. We aim to create safe inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+ and ally communities to thrive throughout Yolo County.
Davis Pride’s mission is to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community in Yolo County while fostering allyship and acceptance. We aim to strengthen the Davis Phoenix Coalition’s programs and create a resource center that offers support, education, and a safe space for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies in Davis and beyond.
Davis Pride events are private but open to the public. The planning committee wants to ensure that attendees understand that our events are safe spaces for all that attend. We will have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for any form of discrimination, harassment, fighting, illegal activities, and unauthorized solicitors. Violators will be evicted from the festivities.
Voted “Best California Pride Celebration” for three consecutive years (2017-2019).
The Sacramento Valley’s fastest-growing LGBTQ+ event.
Yolo County’s largest and longest-running LGBTQ+ celebration.
Over 250 participants in our annual run/walk.
At our peak in 2023, we welcomed over 6,500 attendees from across the western U.S.
We’ve expanded from a single-day celebration to multiple events throughout the year, with a focus in June.
Our events are volunteer-driven and open to everyone.
We ensure all LGBTQ+ community members are included.
Each year, around 100 Northern California businesses and organizations join us as exhibitors.
An average of 100 dedicated volunteers help make our events possible.

The 2025 Davis PrideFest will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 3 – 8 pm at our new location Davis Civic Center Park (located at 6th and B Streets). Please continue to check the website for supporting events dates and times that will be held throughout the month of June.
Davis Pride is the entire collection of LGBTQ+ celebration events produced by the Davis Phoenix Coalition (run/walk, comedy, skate night, etc…) and Davis PrideFest is the new official name for what was known as the Community Fair and Music Festival. Davis PrideFest will be the same great event you have experienced over the past 10 years – just with a new name!!
Davis PrideFest has moved from Central Park to Davis Civic Center Park (6th and B Streets) located behind Davis City Hall. Please see the event pages for our other activities locations.
The biggest feedback from everyone is that the event is so hot. We are hoping with the change in hours we are hitting the cooler part of the day and more community members will come out and enjoy the PrideFest celebration!
We made the decision to move from Central Park for several reasons. The two main reasons are:
We have grown over the last few years in both attendees and exhibitors. We have found that Central Park was becoming too small for the needs and the exciting rapid growth of the event.
Over the next few years, the City of Davis will be performing improvements on the park. It is hard for us to confirm our events with other activities that contain elements out of our control such as construction companies and various outside contractors.
With the COVID-19 and the MPox virus still active and growing in our world today, we will adhere to all federal, local, state, county, and venue guidelines with regards to vaccination requirements, wearing masks, and/or physical distancing at the time of our event currently scheduled for June 2025.
The planning committee has chosen not to actively ban any law enforcement agency from Davis Pride. At this time local agencies do not participate outside of permit requirement guidelines, protection for political candidates, other government officials, and/or if called to help in the protection of attendees from active threats.
We have chosen not to ban law enforcement as that action would be in direct violation of the Davis Phoenix Coalition’s mission statement to build inclusive communities and their active work with local police departments in building a better relationship with the LGBTQ+, Trans, BIPOC, along with other marginalized communities.
Because of the nature of LGBTQ+ events, we work with law enforcement agencies, community groups, and a security team several months prior to our events to ensure the proper safety of Davis Pride participants.
We do have on site uniformed security firm that monitors for negative behavior and reacts as needed under the direction of the Davis Pride committee.

The goal of the Davis Phoenix Coalition Board of Directors and the Davis Pride planning committee is to ensure that all members of the community, regardless of age and income level, have access to the celebration and resources that Davis PrideFest has to offer.
Funds collected through the Run/Walk for Equality, supporting events, vendor booth sales, sponsorships, donations, beer and wine garden sales, and VIP opportunities helps us pay the bills, from the stages, performers, port-a-potties, sound, security guards, police officers, and everything in between.
The pride committee is mindful to ensure that we provide a quality event on a strict budget to maximize our profits. Those profits are used to create and sustain the education and advocacy programs of DPC throughout the year, as well as assist with the funding and development of a resource center, to support the LGBTQ+ and ally residents of the city of Davis and surrounding areas.
THIS IS A FALSE STATEMENT! Davis Pride is a private event produced by the Davis Phoenix Coalition. DPC directly pays all our bills that our events create. Funds raised through the Run/Walk for Equality, supporting events, vendor booth sales, sponsorships, donations, beer and wine garden sales, and VIP opportunities are used to pay the bills. We do not request and/or directly use tax payer funds to produce this event.
In the past, we have received a City of Davis Arts Grant (as many other Davis organizations do). Each year, with this grant we follow the application and approval process. If we are awarded, all grant requirements are followed.
No – all positive members of the community that want to contribute to the exciting day are welcome.

The Davis Pride planning committee will accept all exhibitors and sponsors who do not have business practices that are in direct contradiction with our mission/vision or that of the Davis Phoenix Coalition (pride’s producing agency) to eliminate intolerance for the purpose of preventing hate motivated violence and cultivate a broader civic culture that embraces and promotes a diverse community.

Beginning with our 2018 events, all beverage cups, plates, utensils used at our event are compostable and/or recyclable. All collected refuse will be sorted post collection to reduce our ecological footprint. To help us keep the event as green as possible, please DO NOT litter, and put all refuse in collection bins.
Davis Pride would not be possible without the help of a small army who lend their time before and during our event. There are volunteer opportunities for people of almost all skills, backgrounds and abilities. Please visit the volunteer page to sign up to join an amazing team that help make pride work.
With Origins as Yolo County Lesbian and Gay Picnic Day, Davis Pride has grown from a small local event into a multi-day celebration attracting over 6,500 participants. Powered by the Davis Phoenix Coalition, a California non-profit formed after a violent 2013 anti-gay attack on Davis resident Mikey Partida, the Coalition is dedicated to fostering diversity, eliminating intolerance, and preventing hate-motivated violence, with a focus on supporting LGBTQ+ youth. Proceeds from Davis Pride fund the Coalition’s year-round efforts, including anti-bullying campaigns, workshops, and outreach with local police, churches, and schools.
Support our community by donating now and help us create vibrant, inclusive spaces for all ages, from our kid and senior zones to the entire LGBTQ+ community in Davis!
